Deeds Not Words: The Buffalo Soldiers in World War II is the true story of one of the last segregated army units as told by the men themselves. Included in the documentary are interviews with the Director of the Army War College, the daughter of one of the white 
officers in the unit and one of the 92nd Division’s biggest supporters, former Chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Colin Powell.
 
The documentary includes interviews with soldiers who were in the units, the Director of the Army War College, a daughter of a white officer and former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Colin Powell. Powell originated the idea for the Buffalo Soldier Monument that now stands at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.
